Description

These pretty filigree-inspired leaves are created using size 15 seed beads and are just so versatile! In this tutorial I show you how to create bezelled rivolis with Right Angle Weave to combine the two components for a dainty and very wearable jewellery set.

I used these leaves in my jewellery for my own wedding; they featured in white in my hair piece and in pretty leafy greens on the bridesmaids’ combs. They have just so many uses and can easily be scaled up by using larger beads.

This project is ideal for intermediate beaders – it assumes that you are comfortable with Right Angle Weave but does provide some guidance on creating rows. Previously published in Making Jewellery magazine.

Materials required:

  • 10.5mm Swarovski Elements Rivolis (1122)
  • Size 15 Japanese seed beads
  • Size 11 Japanese seed beads
  • Earwires
  • Split rings or jump rings
  • Cable chain
  • Beading needle and thread
  • Haircomb (optional)

Most suitable for intermediate beaders. Tutorial includes step by step diagrams, close-up photos where extra explanation is needed and easy to follow instructions.
