Terms and Conditions

Please read through these Terms & Conditions carefully before placing your order. By using this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. Please also read our Privacy Policy regarding personal information provided by you, and our Delivery page for information on shipping.

We may change these terms and conditions from time to time without notice to you. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received. Once your order has been confirmed, we will not be able to make any changes to the terms that apply to that order.

Before placing an order, if you have any queries relating to these terms and conditions, please contact us: info@pinkhot.co.uk

1. Payment

All online payments are taken through Stripe secure payment gateway and PayPal. PayPal offers a safe, secure method of payment. You do not need a PayPal account in order to pay in this manner as PayPal offers the option to pay using a credit or debit card.

Pinkhot will also accept payment by cheque, if you wish to pay by cheque please contact us for details.

2. Handmade Jewellery

2.1 Please note that every effort is made to represent the colours accurately, both by picture and description, but please be aware that colours may differ slightly between monitors.

2.2 If you see something you like but would like it in a different colour or size then please contact me. Commissions are happily undertaken upon request.

2.3 After care

Each item of Pinkhot jewellery is handcrafted with love and patience, and remains delicate in nature. Therefore you need to be aware of a few things when you take home your new treasure.

Perfume may discolour some of the stones or finishes on the individual beads. Therefore avoid wearing perfume on your neck or wrists if it will be in contact with the piece.

Always remove Pinkhot jewellery when washing your hands. The colours in the beads may wear off over time but exposing them to water will definitely wear off the colour, particularly on certain beads. It may also weaken the threads inside the work. To remove fingerprints or marks on large crystals simply rub gently with a soft cloth to bring back their sparkle!

Be gentle with your jewellery and handle it with care and it will last you. All Pinkhot pieces are finished to a high standard, however in the unlikely event a breakage does occur then please contact me and I will be happy to repair the piece for you.

3. Returns and refunds

If you are unhappy with your order for any reason please contact us within 5 working days of receiving your package.

We will do our best to resolve the problem quickly. Refunds and exchanges are taken on a case-by-case basis.

3.1 Please note that due to the nature of downloadable patterns we do not offer a refund on Digital PDFs or Virtual Classes, however if you are not completely satisfied please contact us.

If you have any queries with your order then please contact us.

3.2 Returning goods

Please package your order as securely as it was received. Please include a note with as much detail as you can so that we can process your return as quickly as possible.

You will be responsible for the cost of getting the goods back to us. Please use additional tracking services for your own peace of mind if the goods returned are of high value. If we do not receive the goods back we are unable to exchange or refund them.

Please keep a proof of posting receipt safe, as we cannot be held responsible for items that fail to reach us without a valid receipt.

3.4 Handmade jewellery – returns

Commissioned jewellery cannot be refunded unless faulty (for example if a piece has been damaged during carriage). If you would like to return an item of jewellery please see the returns policy below.

Please note that earrings may not be returned due to hygiene reasons unless faulty. I cannot be held responsible for any items lost or damaged in transit.

3.5 Jewellery and kits – returns

We will happily issue you a refund if you return your order and contact us in writing either my email or post within 14 days of receiving your goods. The postal rule applies. We will issue a full refund for the order, less postage.

We are happy to exchange goods that are returned to us within 28 days of purchase, providing that the products are in a fully re-saleable condition. Please see the date at the top of the invoice. Packaging must be original, unopened, undamaged and complete with any appropriate product labels attached.

3.6 Refunds

If you require a refund we will refund the price paid by you for the goods, minus the initial postage charge and the return postage charge. The money will be refunded to your original method of payment within 14 days of us receiving the goods, providing that the goods have been returned in original condition and packaging to us within 30 days of delivery to you or of your notifying us of cancellation.

Refunds can only be credited to the card or PayPal account originally debited.

Refunds will be issued on the day of receiving and checking the returned goods. It could take a couple of days to show up in your account.

If you do not return your goods within 30 days of notifying us of cancellation of your order, we shall be entitled to withhold payment of any refund.

3.6 Workshop Refunds

Unfortunately due to the nature of the session and the fact you will be sent the full pattern upon booking refunds cannot be given if you are unable to make one or both of the sessions.

If you cannot make one/both of the sessions I will try to swap you to another date for the same project if available but this cannot be guaranteed. I am always available if you have any questions on the project after the workshop.

4. Digital Patterns

4.1 All digital patterns are sent via email as a PDF. Please note that due to new EU regulations all digital PDF patterns will be manually emailed to you once the money has been received. Please allow 24 hours for delivery.

4.2 If you experience any difficulties receiving or opening the PDF please get in touch and we will be happy to help. All Pinkhot digital tutorials are PDF files which require Adobe Reader or another PDF application to open them. Most computers have Adobe Reader, but if you do not you can download it for free from www.adobe.com.

4.3 Please note that due to the nature of downloadable patterns we do not offer a refund on these items, however if you are not completely satisfied please contact us.

4.4 Whilst all Pinkhot tutorials have been tried and tested, unfortunately small errors may occur from time to time. If you do have any difficulties or questions when making a project using a Pinkhot pattern please do get in touch and we will be very happy to help you. We want to make sure that you are able to complete the project.

4.5 A lot of time and effort goes into creating these designs, so whilst we are happy for you to sell any items you make using Pinkhot patterns, we do ask that you credit Chloe as the designer. However we kindly ask that you do not copy, teach or share Pinkhot patterns online or with friends.

5. Workshops

This applies to Physical (in-person) Classes booked through Pinkhot only.

5.1 Workshop Cancellation:

We are only able to offer a 50% refund up until 1 month prior to the workshop date. After this time we are sorry but no refund will be given for cancellation, unless the workshop place is sold.

We will attempt to re-sell your place if we have a waiting list. If there is another customer available to take your space then a full refund will be given.

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 7 days prior to the event if there are insufficient numbers or tutor illness. Should the workshop have to be cancelled by us we will refund your fee in full or offer you the option to move to an alternative date if one is available.

We regret that refunds cannot be given in any other circumstances and course fees are non-transferable.

Please note all enquiries regarding these workshops must be directed to Pinkhot. All other workshops, unless otherwise stated, are booked through the Venue. Pinkhot and Chloe Menage take no responsibility for the bookings, refunds or cancellations for any workshop bookings made through third parties.

5.2 Live Zoom Workshops – Refunds and cancellations

If you cannot make the workshop I will try to swap you to another date for the same class if available, but unfortunately, this cannot be guaranteed. If swapping is not possible then I will offer a refund, providing at least 8 days’ notice is given by the student prior to the workshop start time (or first session of a 2-part workshop). Unfortunately, once the Zoom link and pattern have been sent out no refunds can be given after this time. Patterns and the Zoom link will be sent one week prior to the workshop date.

I am always available if you have any questions on the project after the workshop.

I reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 7 days prior to the event if there are insufficient numbers – or up to that day due to tutor illness or unforeseen events. Should the workshop have to be cancelled by me, I will offer you the option to move to an alternative date if one is available/suitable to you, or refund your fee in full.

Please note all enquiries regarding these workshops must be directed to Pinkhot. All other workshops, unless otherwise stated, are booked through the Venue. Pinkhot and Chloe Menage take no responsibility for the bookings, refunds or cancellations for any workshop bookings made through third parties.

6. Copyright

I am an independent artist and a small business owner who has worked very hard to create the beading kits, patterns and designs that you see – and therefore I take breaches of copyright very seriously.

6.1  All photography and images on this website, except those obtained with the author’s permission, belong solely to Pinkhot Jewellery & Chloe Menage. This extends to photographs found on my Etsy Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest pages.

If my images are found on any part of the World Wide Web, without permission, then steps will be taken to have them removed and costs recovered in any legal action taken.

If you want to use any of my pictures, please seek approval first. Approval will only be given in writing, never verbally. Permission can only be given solely by Chloe Menage.

6.2 A lot of time and effort goes into creating my patterns, designs and tutorials, so whilst I am happy for you to sell any items you make using my tutorials, I ask that you credit me as the designer. However I kindly ask that you do not copy, teach or share my patterns online, with your friends or by photocopying.

Please help to support artists and designers by observing copyright etiquette.
