Description
Replicate kitsch 1950s acrylic jewellery designs for a great beginner-intermediate beading project.
Use Delica beads and brick stitch to re-create vintage-style acrylic jewellery with a pineapple and flamingo design.
This project is ideal if you already have a little experience of brick stitch. However – if you’re fairly new to the stitch then start with the pineapple as the increases and decreases are nice and easy! The flamingo is a little more fiddly but keep a tight tension as you work and take it slow.
You can choose whether to stitch your items all in one, or add some fun to them by breaking them up with jump rings.

Materials required:
- Miyuki Delica beads
- Jump rings or split rings
- Clasps
- Chain
- Chain or ribbon and findings to finish
- Beading thread, needles and scissors
