Discover the secrets of the lagoon with this intermediate-advanced project. Using herringbone stitch you’ll learn how to create a beautiful beaded oyster shell complete with a pearl.
Keep it simple as a beautiful pendant or add a message in a bottle and sparkling beaded components for a magical statement necklace.
This pattern assumes that you are comfortable with herringbone stitch.
Materials required:
- Size 8, 11 and 15 Japanese seed beads
- 6mm or 8mm pearl
- Toning beading thread
- For the whole necklace:
- 14mm rivolis
- 3mm, 4mm and 6mm pearls or round glass beads
- Crimp bead
- 4mm bicones
- Clasp
- Bottle (optional) and fillings
- Fireline
- Glue
- Beading needles and scissors
