Using the classic book The Wizard of Oz for inspiration, weave a dainty locket pendant using Delica beads and seed beads. Add embellishment with a crystal Emerald City, winding yellow brick road and ruby slippers (OK, so I took artistic licence, the slippers in the book were silver!)
The glass cabochon shown here features an excerpt from The Wizard of Oz – but you could use any 18x25mm cabochon of your choice inside. These handmade cabochons can be purchased here.
A knowledge of peyote stitch is necessary for this project and a little experience of bezelling cabochons would be helpful. This project is ideal for intermediate beaders.
