Peyote stitch is a very useful stitch to know and is the basis for many beadweaving projects. It can be used for bracelets, as bezels for stones and for creating geometric shapes. Peyote stitch can be worked flat or in the round and there are several variations. It’s a great place to start!

This tutorial covers:

  • Flat and tubular peyote
  • Odd and even count
  • Two-needle and single-needle start
  • Zipping up.

The booklet also includes information on all of the tools and materials you need to get started.

Materials required:

  • Japanese seed beads (eg Toho or Miyuki) or Cylinder beads (eg Miyuki Delicas)
  • Beading thread (eg SoNO, OneG, KO, Miyuki, or Superlon)
  • Beading needles
  • Embroidery scissors

Most suitable for beginner beaders. Tutorial includes step by step diagrams, close-up photos where extra explanation is needed and easy to follow instructions.
