Book lovers and Jane Austen fans looking for their next crafting project need look no further!
This beading kit includes an exclusive handmade cabochon featuring a copy of a poem penned in Jane’s own hand! You’ll stitch seed beads and pearls around the cabochon for a stunning pendant with a hint of Regency flair.
You’ll learn how to combine simple beadweaving and bead embroidery stitches for a beautiful and intricate necklace design. It’s the perfect project for beginner or intermediate beaders.
This kit was produced in partnership with Hampshire Cultural Trust. Jane Austen, one of the world’s most famous authors, spent most of her life in the historic and beautiful county of Hampshire. Its houses, countryside and people provided the inspiration for many of her novels.
Several of Jane’s personal belongings are on display at Winchester City Museum in the care of Hampshire Cultural Trust. Of these, a poem written by Jane in February 1811 entitled ‘I’ve a pain in my head’ and a tiny green crochet purse decorated with gold beads have heavily inspired this piece. Kit includes all beads and materials and printed instruction booklet.
