Imperial Eggs Virtual Beading Workshop with Stitchncraft Beads

Create a 3-Dimensional Fabergé style egg using peyote stitch. This locket-style pendant can open with a hinge and hidden clasp to reveal a surprise of your choice – or be stitched closed with a chiming ball inside for a musical pendant. These dinky eggs measure just 3.5cm high when complete.
There are lots of variations for this project; besides creating a hinged locket or a closed ornament, you can choose the type of clasp you use (magnetic or beaded); whether you use Crystaletts for the centre or bicones; whether to add an embellishment or even the size of the finished egg!
Suitable for intermediate-advanced beaders. Experience of peyote in the round required.
This virtual workshop will be taught in session. Materials are not included in the course cost. This class is being hosted by Stitchncraft Beads. Please see below for full details – you’ll need to register via the bead store, see the button below.
Online workshop requirements
The class will be taught using Zoom online meeting software. This will allow you to see me and your fellow classmates (you will have the ability to mute or turn off your camera at any point if you wish). We can also share photos as we work.
You will need a computer/laptop, smartphone or tablet with camera and audio capabilities. You will need to download the free Zoom software or app to your computer, phone or tablet in advance of the meeting. Full details of how to join the online meeting will be sent to you upon booking. The app/software is free and you do not need to create an account to attend the class.
Workshop materials
Materials are not included. You will be sent a full requirements list upon booking. I have very limited quantities of the clock beads available here. All other supplies can be purchased from Stitchncraft if required, kits are not mandatory. You will need:
Size 11 Toho Demis or Miyuki spacers
Size 11 Japanese seed beads
Size 15 Japanese seed beads in 2 colours
3mm Swarovski Crystaletts® Buttons (optional)
3mm crystal Bicones
Chiming ball (optional)
Split ring, ribbon or chain to hang
Small 5-6mm magnetic clasp (optional)
About the class
Class sizes are kept small so you can be guaranteed plenty of help and support. I will have two cameras in use during the class so you will be able to see my demonstrations up close as well as my face! There is a messaging function in addition to the meeting audio as well so plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss the project.
