Wednesday 5th August
6pm-8.30pm UK (BST)
1pm-3.30pm USA (EDT)
This virtual workshop will be taught during one 2.5-hour session. You will be sent a PDF instruction booklet upon booking to print at home.
Use beadweaving techniques to stitch tiny flags to create a dainty bunting necklace. You’ll learn how to use brick stitch to make the tiny flags and how to finish the design with chain and a clasp. Experienced tutor Chloe will guide you through all the basics and will be on hand to answer all your questions. You may not get the entire necklace completed in the class but you will be able to complete enough in order to have the knowledge to finish it in your own time.
Suitable for beginner beaders upwards. No previous beading experience necessary.
Online Workshop Requirements
The class will be taught using Zoom online meeting software. This will allow you to see me and your fellow classmates (you will have the ability to mute or turn off your camera at any point if you wish). We can also share photos as we work.
You will need a computer/laptop, smartphone or tablet with camera and audio capabilities. You will need to download the free Zoom software or app to your computer, phone or tablet in advance of the meeting. Full details of how to join the online meeting will be sent to you upon booking. The app/software is free and you do not need to create an account to attend the class.
Materials not included. You will be sent a full requirements list upon booking along with the instructions. You will need:
- Size 11 Miyuki Delica beads in 3 or 4 colours
- 5mm jump rings
- Light cable chain and findings
- You will also need 2 pairs of chain nose pliers and some wire cutters.
Limited Edition complete kits for this projects are available in two vintage pastel colour schemes.
If you are ordering beads from an online bead store for this project be aware that First Class is taking up to a week in some instances to arrive. I’d recommend opting for Special Delivery where available.
About the class
Class sizes are kept small so you can be guaranteed plenty of help and support. I will have two cameras in use during the class so you will be able to see my demonstrations up close as well as my face! There is a messaging function in addition to the meeting audio as well so plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss the project.
Unfortunately due to the nature of the session and the fact you will be sent the full instructions upon booking refunds cannot be given if you are unable to make one or both of the sessions. If you cannot make one/both of the sessions you will be sent you a recording of the class you have missed. I am always available if you have any questions on the project after the workshop.
If you have any questions please contact me. I’m looking forward to seeing you!
