Online Beading Workshop

Price: £35.00

10am – 12.30pm UK (BST)
5am – 7.30am USA (EDT)
6.30pm – 9pm Australia (ACST)
(Please be aware that for week two ACDT will apply so it will be 7.30pm start)

This virtual workshop will be taught over two 2 1/2 hour sessions. You will be sent a PDF pattern upon booking to print at home.

Create this dramatic peacock pendant design using crystals and seed beads. You’ll bezel a large Swarovski Oval stone with seed beads and right angle weave, then use herringbone and freeform beading techniques to embellish and create sparkling feathers decorated with Swarovski beads. Turn your peacock into a brooch or pendant.

Most suitable for advanced beaders. Previous experience of right angle weave is required.

Online Workshop Requirements

The class will be taught using Zoom online meeting software. This will allow you to see me and your fellow classmates (you will have the ability to mute or turn off your camera at any point if you wish). We can also share photos as we work.

You will need a computer/laptop, smartphone or tablet with camera and audio capabilities. You will need to download the free Zoom software or app to your computer, phone or tablet in advance of the meeting. Full details of how to join the online meeting will be sent to you upon booking. The app/software is free and you do not need to create an account to attend the class.

Workshop Materials

Materials not included. You will be sent a full requirements list upon booking along with the pattern. You will need:

  • 1 x 30x22mm Swarovski Elements Oval 4127 Fancy Stone
  • 4mm Swarovski 5000s (rounds) – or similar
  • 1 x 8 or 10mm Swarovski round or pearl
  • Size 11 and 15 seed beads

Kits are NOT mandatory but if you wish to buy one in my colours you can purchase exclusive kits, which are available in a choice of two colourways. Find them here.

Tanzee Designs (based in UK) stocks all of the materials needed for this project. If you can’t find what you are looking for then do give them a ring and they will be able to help you match colours and find suitable swaps. For US folk, Jill Wiseman Designs stocks all the necessary beads and materials in a lovely array of colours. Please be aware that there are still delays on shipping at this time particularly in the US so factor this time in to your bead ordering.

About the class

Class sizes are kept small so you can be guaranteed plenty of help and support. I will have two cameras in use during the class so you will be able to see my demonstrations up close in high definition as well as my face! There is a messaging function in addition to the meeting audio as well so plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss the project. My classes are fun and informal with plenty of opportunity for discussion and general chatter.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the session and the fact you will be sent the full pattern upon booking refunds cannot be given if you are unable to make one or both of the sessions. If you cannot make one/both of the sessions I will try to swap you to another date for the same project if available but this cannot be guaranteed. I am always available if you have any questions on the project after the workshop.

If you have any questions please contact me. I’m looking forward to seeing you!
