Online Workshop – Daytime class
1pm-6pm UK (BST)
8am-1pm USA (EST)
2pm-7pm Central European Time
This virtual workshop will be taught over two 2.5-hour sessions. You will be sent a PDF instruction booklet upon booking to print at home.
Use CRAW and 2-hole CzechMate Triangle beads to create rings that you’ll embellish with crystals and firepolish beads. In this workshop we’ll stitch spiky rings of different sizes and join them together for a steampunk-inspired necklace. The design possibilities for these components are endless!
Suitable for advanced beaders. Some experience of cubic right angle weave (CRAW) is a must.
Online workshop requirements
The class will be taught using Zoom online meeting software. This will allow you to see me and your fellow classmates (you will have the ability to mute or turn off your camera at any point if you wish). We can also share photos as we work.
You will need a computer/laptop, smartphone or tablet with camera and audio capabilities. You will need to download the free Zoom software or app to your computer, phone or tablet in advance of the meeting. Full details of how to join the online meeting will be sent to you upon booking. The app/software is free and you do not need to create an account to attend the class.
Materials not included. You will be sent a full requirements list upon booking along with the instructions. You will need:
- 3mm or 2.5mm Swarovski Xilions/Bicones
- Size 11 and 15 seed beads
- 2mm firepolished crystals
- 2-hole CzechMates Triangles
- Chain or silver silk for hanging
Unfortunately ready made kits are not available for this project. However Tanzee Designs (based in UK) stocks all of the materials needed for this project. If you can’t find what you are looking for then do give them a ring and they will be able to help you match colours and find suitable swaps. For US folk, Jill Wiseman Designs stocks all the necessary beads and materials in a lovely array of colours. Please be aware that there are still delays on shipping at this time particularly in the US so factor this time in to your bead ordering.
About the class
Class sizes are kept small so you can be guaranteed plenty of help and support. I will have two cameras in use during the class so you will be able to see my demonstrations up close in high definition as well as my face! There is a messaging function in addition to the meeting audio as well so plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss the project. My classes are fun and informal with plenty of opportunity for discussion and general chatter.
Unfortunately due to the nature of the session and the fact you will be sent the full instructions upon booking refunds cannot be given if you are unable to make one or both of the sessions. If you cannot make one/both of the sessions I will try to swap you to another date for the same project if available but this cannot be guaranteed. I am always available if you have any questions on the project after the workshop.
If you have any questions please contact me. I’m looking forward to beading with you!
