Snow Star Beaded Ring Pattern

Description

Give your fingers some winter sparkle with this dramatic cocktail ring. Seed beads encapsulate a dazzling crystal rivoli for a clever bezelled component.

Explore the variations offered in this pattern to create a matching pendant or ornament. The basic pattern uses a 14mm rivoli but instructions are given for working with an 18mm rivoli too.

Play with colours; white and AB colours give an almost snowflake-like look, while gem tones with gold are just perfect for the festive season.

A modified version of this pattern was previously published in Bead & Jewellery magazine in 2010.

Suitable for beginner – intermediate beaders.

You will need:

• 1 x 14mm rivoli

• 5 x 4mm bicones

• Approx. 2g x size 11 seed beads (I used Miyuki)

• Monofilament thread eg Supplemax (or Miyuki #40) – or FireLine
