Description

These funky geometric bangles have a wonderfully solid finish and are addictive to make, using just a few materials from your stash.

This is a super versatile beading project; it can be adapted to suit your skill level and your bead stash. You could use firepolish beads or size 8 seed beads for your main beads.

This tutorial offers two methods for creating the same bangle; Cubic Right Angle Weave (CRAW) or Right Angle Weave (RAW) – either single needed or 2-needle it’s up to you. You can choose which stitch to use but the instructions assume you are comfortable with using that particular stitch – so a little experience of either RAW or CRAW is necessary.

I recommend using Fireline or equivalent for this project as other threads may be cut by the sharp edges or the crystals and firepolish beads. You could also use monofilament for a solid (but fiddly) finish.

Materials required:

  • 3mm or 4mm firepolish beads or size 8 seed beads
  • Size 11 seed beads
  • Size 15 seed beads (optional)
  • 3mm or 4mm bicones/Xilions or pearls (optional)
  • Fireline or monofilament thread eg Supplemax
  • Needles and scissors

The RAW version of this pattern was previously published in Bead & Jewellery magazine.

Most suitable for intermediate beaders. Tutorial includes step-by-step diagrams, close-up photos where extra explanation is needed and easy to follow instructions.

While I am happy for you to sell any items you make using this tutorial, I do ask that you credit me as the designer and I kindly ask that you do not copy, teach or share my pattern.
