Previously only available as part of my Jane Austen’s Pendant Kit, now you can buy the cabochon individually for your own literary-inspired beading and bead embroidery projects.
- Pack includes 1 x glass cabochon measuring 18mm x 25mm.
- Each cabochon comes with a backing card, with information about the poem.
- Made in small batches and checked for quality
These cabochons are ideal for beadweaving, embroidery and jewellery-making projects.
Each cabochon is lovingly created and finished to a high standard. As these are a handmade item, small imperfections may occur but these do not affect the overall quality.
This cabochon for beading and crafts has been produced in partnership with Hampshire Cultural Trust. Jane Austen, one of the world’s most famous authors, spent most of her life in the historic and beautiful county of Hampshire. Its houses, countryside and people provided the inspiration for many of her novels.
Several of Jane’s personal belongings are on display at Winchester City Museum in the care of Hampshire Cultural Trust. One of these is a poem written by Jane in February 1811, entitled ‘I’ve a pain in my head’. It is written on a tiny manuscript! Read more about the collaborative project and the poem on our blog.
