This show-stopping pendant uses brick stitch and right angle weave to create a dramatic and eye-catching piece that you’ll love to wear. I’ll show you how to weave together a colourful bead soup of Delica beads using brick stitch, for self-supporting leaves. We’ll hang these off a sparkling central crystal component that captures a dazzling rivoli. The pretty crystal central component can also be turned into a statement ring or used on its own as a smaller pendant.

Suitable for intermediate beaders – some experience of brick stitch would be helpful, but isn’t mandatory as instruction will be given.

Online workshop requirements

The class will be taught using Zoom online meeting software. This will allow you to see me and your fellow classmates (you will have the ability to mute or turn off your camera at any point if you wish). We can also share photos as we work.

You will need a computer/laptop, smartphone or tablet with camera and audio capabilities. You will need to download the free Zoom software or app to your computer, phone or tablet in advance of the meeting. Full details of how to join the online meeting will be sent to you upon booking. The app/software is free and you do not need to create an account to attend the class.

Closed captions are also available.

Workshop Materials

Materials not included. You will be sent a full requirements list upon booking. You will need:

• 12mm round rivoli
• Bicones in 3mm & 6mm
• 4mm pearls or glass rounds
• Size 11 and 15 seed beads
• Bead soup of size 11 Delica beads or Delica mix

About the class

Class sizes are kept small so you can be guaranteed plenty of help and support. I will have two cameras in use during the class so you will be able to see my demonstrations up close as well as my face! There is a messaging function in addition to the meeting audio as well so plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss the project.

If you cannot make the session I will try to swap you to another date for the same class if available, but unfortunately, this cannot be guaranteed. If swapping is not possible then I will offer a refund, providing at least 8 days’ notice is given prior to the class start time. Unfortunately, once the Zoom link and pattern have been sent out no refunds can be given after this time.
