New dates TBC
This virtual workshop will be taught over two 2.5-hour sessions. You will be sent a PDF instruction booklet upon booking to print at home.
This show-stopping pendant uses brick stitch and right angle weave to create a dramatic and eye-catching piece that you’ll love to wear. I’ll show you how to weave together a colourful bead soup of Delica beads for self-supporting leaves. We’ll hang these off a sparkling central crystal component that captures a dazzling rivoli. The pretty crystal central component also can be turned into a statement ring or used on its own as a smaller pendant.
Suitable for intermediate beaders upwards.
Online workshop requirements
The class will be taught using Zoom online meeting software. This will allow you to see me and your fellow classmates (you will have the ability to mute or turn off your camera at any point if you wish). We can also share photos as we work.
You will need a computer/laptop, smartphone or tablet with camera and audio capabilities. You will need to download the free Zoom software or app to your computer, phone or tablet in advance of the meeting. Full details of how to join the online meeting will be sent to you upon booking. The app/software is free and you do not need to create an account to attend the class.
Materials not included. You will be sent a full requirements list upon booking along with the instructions. You will need:
- 12mm round Rivoli
- Bicones in 3mm & 6mm
- 4mm Pearls or glass rounds
- Size 11 and 15 seed beads
- Bead Soup of size 11 Delica beads
If you are ordering beads from an online bead store for this project be aware that First Class is taking up to a week in some instances to arrive. I’d recommend opting for Special Delivery where available. The Bead Shop (Nottingham) carry all of the materials necessary for this project, so do contact the team who will be happy to help you select your colours. They do some lovely ready-made Delica mixes too.
For US folk, Jill Wiseman Designs stocks all the necessary beads and materials in a lovely array of colours.
About the class
Class sizes are kept small so you can be guaranteed plenty of help and support. I will have two cameras in use during the class so you will be able to see my demonstrations up close as well as my face! There is a messaging function in addition to the meeting audio as well so plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss the project.
Unfortunately due to the nature of the session and the fact you will be sent the full instructions upon booking refunds cannot be given if you are unable to make one or both of the sessions. If you cannot make one/both of the sessions I will try to swap you to another date for the same project if available but this cannot be guaranteed. I am always available if you have any questions on the project after the workshop.
If you have any questions please contact me. I’m looking forward to seeing you!
