Workshop news – what’s happening in 2019?

I’ve had lots of questions relating to my teaching for 2019, following the exciting news that I am expecting a baby in the New Year. Read on to find out more about what classes you can expect from me in 2019 and see my brand new beading designs.

The short answer is I’m not going anywhere!

I still plan to carry on with my beading classes but I will be taking a short break from teaching for the first half of the year and then will resume teaching but with a limited number of dates until the end of the year. I also won’t be travelling as far afield as much for 2019 and will be focusing on my classes at my home studio on Hayling Island, as well as visiting bead groups and venues within a reasonable driving distance.

I’ve been beavering away behind the scenes for several months, working on new designs and lining up activities and dates. Now I am excited to share with you the brand new designs I will be teaching in 2019 and 2020. Introducing Khepri Necklace and Imperial Eggs Locket!

Khepri Necklace embraces the spirit of Ancient Egypt – it uses Right Angle Weave and features a stunning Swarovski stone and a bezel created with Czech glass beads.

Imperial Eggs Locket is a fabergé inspired pendant that can be worn as a pendant or used as an ornament. It has a clever hidden hinge so can be opened to reveal a surprise or stitched closed around a chiming ball for a musical pendant. Both of these designs have been created for intermediate-advanced beaders.

I have had lots of interest in these designs already and have bookings for several bead groups. I also hope to be returning to Tanzee Designs in October 2019 but this is TBC at the moment – myself and the Tanzee team will keep you posted on that!

At the moment I just have a few dates confirmed in the calendar but if you can’t make any of these then make sure you sign up to my mailing list as new dates and classes will be added over the coming months.

My informal and friendly bead group will continue to run from March 2019, also from my Hayling Island studio. Everyone is welcome – from complete beginners to advanced beaders. I offer an evening and a morning session so if you work in the day then you don’t have to miss out! There is no yearly joining subscription and you are welcome to drop in and out. There are always plenty of snacks and it’s just £4 a session (your first one is free though!). More info on Pinkhot Beaders can be found here.

If you would like to book me to visit your bead group or discuss my classes in more detail then please get in touch and I will send you all the necessary details including my full list of available courses.

I hope to see you on one of my classes in 2019!
