Making fascinators and tiaras

My second trip of the year to Stitchncraft Beads was even more fun than the first! I was joined by nine lovely ladies for a full day creating fascinators and tiaras.

I had designed the class to be fairly flexible and informal, so after demonstrating and explaining some of the basic wirework techniques they would need, I let their own imaginations take over! With plenty of time to experiment, most of the class created at least one comb fascinator and then tried their hands at tiaras or fascinators on bands. Some even made two!

It was great fun to see the designs come together and each one was completely unique! Some of the pieces were designed with specific weddings in mind – so I’m looking forward to seeing the finished items in action in the very near future!

Here are just some of the creations from the day…

Penny used all the techniques she's learned in the class for her headband

My next class at Stitchncraft is on August 15, when I’ll be back to beadweaving again teaching my Through the Looking Glass design.
