Making Jewellery – Issue 83

The latest issue of Making Jewellery has hit the shelves and it’s packed full of wonderful projects inspired by the Orient.

earrings-chloe-MJ83I’m delighted to say that my Kirakira bangles feature this issue, you can find out how to make them on page 17. Stitched using Starman QuadraLentils, seed beads and sparkling Swarovski crystals these bangles are easily adaptable to any size wrist. I named them Kirakira, in-keeping with the theme of the issue – as it means ‘sparkle’ in Japanese.

The project also includes instructions for a pair of matching earrings and suggestions for a choker too! If you get a chance to create a Kirakira I’d love to see your version; share your pics on the Pinkhot Facebook page or drop me a line by email.

I adore all of the projects in this issue, I think it’s one of my favourites this year. I particularly love Laura’s Sparling’s Aglow bead which looks just like a Japanese paper lantern – so beautiful!

Don’t miss it, on sale now from WH Smiths and many bead shops. You can also subscribe via the GMC website.
