Make your own sparkly beaded earrings! I’ll show you how, step-by-step in this new video. This is the perfect project for beaders of any level, so whether you are brand new to beading or a seasoned maker, you’ll enjoy making these beaded earrings.
I’ve been making these earrings for years and back when I used to sell more regularly at craft fairs and art events they were always a best seller for me. They make perfect gifts!
Behind the scenes, I’ve been working on these for a little while, as I’ve been testing the kit and pattern out on lots of my friends, many of whom had never made jewellery before!
The feedback was great and I loved seeing their sense of achievement! If you’re a seasoned beader and want to encourage some non-beading friends then this is a great project to get them started on!
What do you need to make them?
YOU WILL NEED:
- Sparkling 4mm crystal bicones (either Czech or Austrian)
- 4mm closed jump rings
- Fishhook ear wires
- Monofilament (clear) beading thread
TOOLS:
- Flush cutters or small sharp scissors
- Chain nose pliers
I’ve created kits with all the supplies needed to make these Crystal Ball Earrings in a rainbow of colours, and with the choice of both sterling silver and silver-plated findings.
If you want to stash bust though, this is an excellent project for experimenting! The beaded beads look brilliant with fire polish beads, pearls, seed beads or round glass beads. The beading world is your oyster! So if you want to find out how to make these earrings, let me show you how…
In this tutorial, I will introduce you to 2-needle right angle weave. Using clear monofilament thread means you don’t need to use any needles, as it is rigid enough to work with!
